Tally Sign in ChatGPT and Claude draft, change and send from a chat
Ask for a quote, an order form or a signing status in plain words, and Tally Sign answers inside the chat with a card you can work in. Change a Salesforce quote's lines, create the order form, check it on the real page and send it, without leaving ChatGPT or Claude.
A card you work in not a wall of text
Tally Sign shows its answers as a card in the chat: the same data and the same checks as the app, laid out to act on. Everything you do in the card happens in your Tally Sign account, and the AI sees what you did.
Work on the quote
Open a Salesforce quote and change quantities, prices and discounts, or leave a line out. The totals update as you type. Your changes go on the order form; the quote in Salesforce stays as it is.
The real page
Every document shows its first page as it will print. Tap it to read every page full screen.
Review, then send
Before anything goes out, the card shows exactly who gets the email. Add a subject and a note, then send.
See who has signed
Each signer's progress, sent, viewed and signed, with a Remind button for anyone still waiting and the latest activity.
Change who signs
Pick a different signer for a draft right in the card, or before the order form is even created.
Light, dark, full screen
It follows your ChatGPT or Claude theme, and opens full screen when there's a lot to work on.
26 tools the whole app in a chat
Behind the card, the AI calls these on its own as it works. Each one does what the same button does in Tally Sign, with the same checks.
Salesforce
Find a quote, opportunity or any record, preview a template filled from it, and create the document linked to the record, so its status goes back to Salesforce.
salesforce_search_records- Finds quotes, opportunities, orders, contracts, accounts or contacts in your connected Salesforce org.
salesforce_preview- Shows a template filled from a record without creating anything: merge values, the signers found, quote lines and anything missing.
create_from_salesforce- Creates the document from a record, linked back to it so its status syncs to Salesforce.
Create
From any template or from scratch. A mutual NDA, a SOW from an estimate or a lease in one call, or a copy of an earlier document.
create_document- A draft from any template, or from scratch with your own blocks.
create_nda- A mutual NDA with a counterparty in one call.
create_sow- A consulting agreement or SOW from an estimate: services, pricing, payment milestones and dates.
create_lease- A residential lease for a tenant, from your rental templates.
duplicate_document- Copies a document into a new draft, or saves it as a template.
Edit drafts
Rewrite, insert, move or remove any block, pricing tables and signature fields included. Change variables, signers, CCs and signing order, and attach PDF exhibits.
edit_blocks- Inserts, rewrites, moves or removes blocks. If one change fails, nothing is saved.
update_document- Title, variables, page header and footer, email subject and message, signing order and expiry.
set_recipients- Adds or changes signers and CCs by role, or removes them.
unlock_document- Reopens a document that's out for signature so it can be changed and sent again as its next version.
describe_blocks- The reference for every block, field type, theme and variable.
attach_pdf- Adds a PDF exhibit from a link, the file itself or an upload from your computer.
list_attachments- The exhibits on a document, in order.
remove_attachment- Takes an exhibit off a draft.
Send and follow up
Check what would stop it from sending and get a preview PDF, send, remind whoever hasn't signed, void, and download the signed PDF.
check_document- What would stop it from sending, fields per signer, and a preview PDF link.
send_document- Emails the signing links. It needs your explicit go-ahead.
send_reminder- Emails everyone who hasn't signed yet, or one person.
void_document- Cancels a document that's out for signature. Its links stop working.
get_pdf_link- A download link for the signed PDF with its audit certificate, or a preview.
delete_document- Deletes a draft, a voided document or a template. Never a signed one.
Look things up
Find documents by status, type or title, read one block by block, and see who has opened and signed it, and when.
list_templates- Your templates, with their signer roles and every variable they use.
get_document- A document in full, or a one-line-per-block outline, with its signers, issues and history.
list_documents- Finds documents by status, type or title, with each signer's status.
get_status- Who has opened and signed, and when, with the latest history.
Quote to SOW
A ready-made prompt, quote_to_sow, walks the AI through turning an estimate into a SOW: services, pricing, milestones, the estimate attached as Exhibit A, a check, and your review before it sends.
Connect in a minute from Settings → AI & API
This is the guide inside Tally Sign. ChatGPT and Claude connect when you sign in with your Tally Sign account. Claude Code and other MCP clients use an API key an admin creates. The same keys work with the REST API.
- 1
Ask ChatGPT to add Tally Sign
Start a new chat in ChatGPT and send this message. ChatGPT sets up the Tally Sign app for you.Open ChatGPTCreate an app called Tally Sign for me. MCP server URL: https://app.tallysign.com/api/mcp — Authentication: OAuth.
- 2
Sign in and allow
A Tally Sign window opens. Sign in with your own Tally Sign email and password, then click Allow access. That's it — you're connected. - 3
Ask for a document
Ask for what you need in any chat. If ChatGPT doesn't use Tally Sign on its own, click + in the message box and switch on Tally Sign.
Things to ask in your own words
Names, emails and quote numbers are all it needs. It looks up the rest in Tally Sign and Salesforce, and tells you when something is missing.

ChatGPT or Claude
It works as you and asks before anything goes out
A connection belongs to one person at one company. It works inside that company's Tally Sign account and follows the same rules the app does.
ChatGPT, Claude and more
ChatGPT and Claude connect with a sign-in. Claude Code, Cursor and any other MCP client connect with an API key.
Connected in a minute
Settings → AI & API walks you through it with a picture of each step. Nothing to install.
It acts as you
Everyone signs in with their own Tally Sign account. Your name and title go on your side of the document, and on Salesforce documents you're the sender.
It asks before sending
The send tool only runs with your go-ahead, and it's marked as emailing people outside your company, so ChatGPT and Claude check with you first.
Signed stays signed
Only drafts can be edited. A sent document has to be unlocked first, which clears its signatures, and signed ones can't be deleted.
Off in one click
An admin can disconnect every ChatGPT and Claude connection at once. Only admins create API keys, and each can be revoked.
Questions
What does it look like in ChatGPT and Claude?
Answers come back as a Tally Sign card in the chat: the quote with its lines, the document with its first page, or who has signed. You can change lines, pick a signer, create the order form and send from the card, and the AI keeps up with what you did. In apps that don't show cards, you get the same answers as text.
Which AI apps work?
ChatGPT and Claude connect with a sign-in. Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and any other app that supports MCP connect with an API key. Adding a custom app in ChatGPT needs a paid ChatGPT plan.
Can it send something without asking me?
The send tool won't run unless the AI confirms you approved it, and it's marked as emailing people outside your company, so ChatGPT and Claude ask you first. Reminders are marked the same way, and voiding or deleting is marked as a change that can't be undone.
What can it see?
Your company's templates and documents in Tally Sign, the same ones your team sees in the app, and records in your Salesforce org once an admin has connected it. A connection never reaches another company's account.
Can it change a document that's already out for signature?
Yes, after asking you. It unlocks the document, which goes back to draft, makes the change and sends it again as the next version. It stays one document: no copies in your list, and signers get the new request without a void notice. Signatures already given are cleared, so those people sign the new version.
Do we need Salesforce?
No. NDAs, SOWs, leases and any of your own templates work without it. The Salesforce tools come with the Salesforce plan and start working when an admin connects your org.
How do we turn it off?
In Settings → AI & API an admin can disconnect every ChatGPT and Claude connection at once, and revoke API keys one by one. Turning off someone's Tally Sign access stops their connections too.
Is there a REST API too?
Yes. The same API keys work with a plain JSON REST API for your own systems: create documents from templates, send them, follow signers, download the signed PDF and get webhooks. The developer docs are at tallysign.com/developers.
Does it cost extra?
No. ChatGPT, Claude and API access are part of both plans, and nothing is metered. Your AI app is billed by its maker as usual.
